While the majority of the world is freezing during the winter, Floridians are wearing crop tops, shorts, and sandals. Floridians, especially those who live in South Florida, barely get to experience what winter really feels like. South Florida is known for its random weather throughout the seasons. Whenever the temperature drops unexpectedly, I’m never fully prepared for what’s the come considering I only own one winter coat in my whole closet. On the other hand, this Fashionista was ready to take on a cold school day with no problem.
During the winter, layering is a girl’s best friend. Not only does layering keeping you warm, but it can also add style to an outfit. This Fashionista layers a simple cream sweater with a leather jacket. Leather is very easy way to add an edgy feel to an outfit. Her leather jacket was a great addition to her outfit, but what really stood out to me was her scarf. Scarves are some of my favorite accessories because their so simple, yet make a statement. I also loved the choice of color in her scarf. The olive green color isn’t too bright, but it adds just the right amount of color to make her stand out. Since Florida weather can change within an hour, she could take off her leather jacket and still rock her scarf without getting too hot. With two simple changes this outfit can easily go from day to night. Switch out the oxfords for wedges, and add a dark lip for a casual date night.
Spotted: Marc Jacobs loves to use scarfs in his collections to add an extra element of style.
