ACCESSORIES REPORT: A Boho-Chic Broad

Accessories Report

We have all seen the hippy-dippy Free People or Lucky Brand bohemian style for years, but it seems that the trend is only growing. The term “Bohemian” is applied to people who live unconventional, usually artistic, lives. Boho-chic has grown into its own term for Fashionistas who use the bohemian’s look as the base of their fashion sense.

This week’s Fashionista has not only nailed the boho-chic look, but she has also paired her outfit up with the perfect accessory: a backback. Stylish? Yes, but it is also necessary on any college campus. This Fashionista’s outfit caught my eye because of her fitted Free People top.  The detailed sleeves are trimmed with lace and get looser from the elbow down, giving the shirt that hippy flair that completes the feminine, flirty look.

This Fashionista also completed her look by adding the newest jewel trend: mid-knuckle rings. She gave her hands some extra glam by pairing the mid-knuckle rings with regular ones. Mid-knuckle rings are usually very affordable, and now that more retailers have them available, piling on a few is trendier than ever. Contrary to the looks of them, these little guys manage to stay on very well! Every girl needs those easy accessories to throw on and these are a perfect addition to any outfit for a more youthful and fun touch.

Her look is effortlessly stylish. The mid-knuckle rings can be found in a variety of places right on Main Street: from Urban Outfitters to State College’s local thrift store, The Attic. Wide sleeved shirts can also be found in local boutiques around town, such as Connections, or on Free People’s website.

Spotted: Karl Lagerfeld introduced his new knuckle ring pieces at Chanel’s Haute Couture show in Paris in July.
