Spring has sprung in Florida, and with that comes festivals, the beach and wanting to be outside in the beautiful sunshine all the time. While I love seeing people in all different kinds of looks, I have to say that bohemian-styled outfits for spring are my favorite kinds of looks to see and to wear. Accessories such as lightweight scarves, Ray-Ban sunglasses, cross-body bags and bangles can all add a boho vibe to outfits.
I saw this Fashionista at an art festival rocking a beautifully accessorized bohemian look perfect for the occasion. Her accessories that add to her bohemian style include tortoise shell Ray-Ban sunglasses; a turquoise, white and black printed scarf; black braided sandals and a cognac cross-body bag by Fossil. You can find a similar scarf from Francesca’s Collections and similar sandals from Kenneth Cole Reaction. She is also wearing a gray maxi skirt and loose-fitted black tank top — similar ones can be found at H&M. To add even more to her boho feel, she has her ómbre hair in loose, relaxed waves.
A bohemian look for spring is perfect because it can still be a little windy and slightly cooler outside and bohemian outfits normally include long, loose pieces such as a bell-sleeve top or palazzo pants. In today’s Fashionista’s case, it is a maxi skirt. These pieces allow some warmth, while still giving room for the occasional breeze needed to keep cool. So, besides being stylish today’s Fashionista is actually very smart and practical.
The Fashionista’s bohemian accessories allow her simple black and gray outfit to have something more. Without her simple additions, the look would not have stood out. Try using accessories you already have in your closet to transform an outfit to something completely different.
Spotted: In the Etro spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection, lightweight scarves are used to complement the bohemian style prints in the collection.
