You can only write about someone’s jewelry so many times before you drive away your avid readers, so I try to keep my ACCESSORIES REPORT slightly unpredictable. I try to focus on daring Fashionistas that choose bold decorations to deem themselves Temples’ trendsetters. Today’s accessory epitomizes eccentric and surprising. This Fashionista’s colorized hairstyle makes up for the rain that washed away our sunshine here in Philly.
Dip dyed hair styles are invading the fashion scene recently. It’s a trend we all enjoy, whether you take the plunge and make it permanent or just want to chalk-it-up with a new color for a special occasion. This bohemian goddess chose to make it a permanent part of her look. She told me she needed a new hairstyle, so she figured she might as well take advantage of a new trend. With blue accents you’d think it might be something you would constantly stress over matching. But let me ask you, does she looked mismatched in the slightest bit? I don’t think so. A subtle blue on the tips of her dirty-blonde hair isn’t so bold that it would have to be a concern on the daily.
I first saw this color coordinated hair trend on Pinterest about a year ago. Blogs all over the Internet were sharing the colorful secret that chalk could do for us. It rapidly began to transform into a widespread trend. Models in the coolest magazines exemplified the style, and our favorite fashion sites showed off the color trend by the masses. This season, it’s became a sought after yet common street style. Most of us aren’t double taking anymore when we catch a glimpse of pink hair. The style remains daring and unique since not all Fashionistas are willing to take the gamble. But to those like this stylistic student that took the plunge and dyed their luscious locks, I envy and applaud you, for it’s a (somewhat) permanent accessory that I’m absolutely enthralled by at the moment.
