ACCESORIES REPORT: Back To The Future

Accessories Report

I spotted this Fashionista on her way to grab her morning latte this past Monday in my hometown. The sun was shining and what really struck me about her were her beautifully mod sunglasses. These Marc by Marc Jacobs shades are following in the footsteps of the oversized and futuristic sunglasses trend that were seen on the runways for this spring.

Many designers like Michael Kors and Chanel have gone “back to the future” with ultra-modern shades in some of their runway shows for this season. This Fashionista takes a modern yet refined approach to this trend.

Sunglasses are one of the many necessary objects you’ll find in a Fairfield Fashionista’s school bag as she strolls across campus from class to the dorms to the campus center. You can find sunglasses similar to these Marc by Marc Jacobs ones here and these Dior ones at Bloomingdale’s. These are some great options for oversized shades that are all the rage this season.

Not only was I struck by this Fashionista’s sunglasses but also her effortlessly chic yet comfortable look. This outfit includes a Michael Kors buttoned cardigan paired with a plain black long-sleeved T-shirt underneath. She also wore dark washed blue jeans and tied the look together with Steve Madden short brown boots and simple pearl earrings.

If you’re like me, you would rather be sitting inside this winter with a cup of hot chocolate, but if you plan on venturing outside to grab a latte in town, follow this Fashionista’s lead and choose a stylish way to keep warm with a stunning oversized sweater, a pair of slouched boots and some designer shades.

Spotted: Zero + Maria Cornejo displayed an eye-catching pair of futuristic shades on the runway for their spring 2013 collection.
