There’s always that one person on campus that you can easily spot from across the quad. They draw fascinated glances from every student without fail. For Belmont University, that person is today’s Fashionisto. I’ve had a style crush on him for some time now and finally managed to get my lens on him. His attire never ceases to amaze me.
Today, he ‘s got the decade mixing down to a T. That black suede collared bomber jacket and rosary-inspired earring scream the ’80s while the base of the outfit is a throwback to the industrial workers of the first half of the 20th century. His navy button-down is pristinely done up, but left untucked to ensure that effortless look. His pants of the same hue were strategically cuffed at the bottom to show off those amazing platform black lace-up combat boots that remind me so much of the Agyness Deyn for Dr. Martens patent boot that she designed last year (I highly recommend anything from that collection if you can still get your hands on it). He finished everything off with his horn-rimmed glasses and reflective gold jewelry.
We can all learn from our campus style kings and queens. You might find that they are not as intimidating as you may think and can offer up tips on the best places to score clothing and accessories in your city. Don’t be afraid to start a fashion conversation with them next time you spot some of your campus style royalty.
