8 Spring Break Looks That Aren’t A Bikini

Spring break is just around the corner (hallelujah) is your bikini body ready? The correct answer to that questions is: WHO CARES?! There is so much more to spring break than worrying about how you’ll look in a bikini, such as: traveling, time off, a chance to relax, spending time with family and friends, going home, showing off your new spring looks, having time to try something new, exploring new places, and, most importantly making memories. That list was quite extensive, and it doesn’t end there, but it does prove that there is so much more to spring break than two pieces of fabric.

This spring major trends have been popping up in store, on the streets and on Instagram. We’ve broken it down for you with eight RAD non-bikini spring break looks.

Lace

Lace is a classic for spring looks. It’s delicate and feminine and perfect for walking around a tropical island. Remember that lace camisole you wore over a turtle neck all winter? Time to break it out again! A lace dress is second to the LBD. It’s the perfect item to pack for spring break because of its versatility. Throw on either piece and you’ll be ready for afternoon tea during your trip to London, shopping at local boutiques in San Francisco or having a girls’ night out in a beachside cafe. (Photo via @lovelyykelly) (Photo via @sarahdewald)

Embroidery

Raise your hand if you’ve been eyeing all of the embroidered button ups, tunics and dresses in the stores lately. (Everyone’s hand should be raised.) Embroidery is a unique way to change up classic pieces. Often the embroidered patterns are found to be western florals, simple words and sayings or whimsical creatures. This only makes it even more spring break necessary!   (Photo via @mar.elekes (Photo via @ejurss)

Animal Printed Cross-bodies

The two things we all need to be during spring break are care free and hands free. A small cross-body bag is the fool proof way to accomplish these two goals. Keep your necessities in the bag and your hands will be free to hold a smoothie during your stroll down the boardwalk. Animal prints are a great way to add pattern into your wardrobe without succumbing to the cliché florals for spring. Be bold and select a purse in a fun print; chances are it will go with more of your wardrobe than you might think!

Bright Prints

Again, “florals for spring” is a phrase we hear year after year. Try and stand out of the crowd by picking a print that is a little bolder. Tropical prints are no longer strictly for the “Hawaiian dad shirt.” Say yes to prints that include foliage, geometric shapes, bright colors and fun textures.
