6 Different Mid-Calf Boots We're Obsessing Over

January 18th, 2017 at 2:00am

A good pair of boots is staple of any Fashionista’s closet. While I rock the occasional tall boots and short booties, this semester I’m all about boots that sit right at mid-calf. Sure, they may sound unflattering. But they are not only super flattering, but incredibly versatile. It allows me to wear all of my boyfriend jeans and cropped jeans—even during the winter. They also look great with any dress. Besides, for any college student, spending once and wearing a million times is the goal, right?

Have I sold you on this style yet? In case you neither further convincing (or are wanting to snag a pair of your own), here are six of my favorite mid-calf boots that you should buy now to wear all semester long.

1—Roses are rad. Floral boots have been very popular this past season, but most of the ones I’ve seen have been too busy with patterns all over. These Steve Madden boots tone down the embroidery but still stick to the main idea of making the shoes stand out more than your classic black boot.

2—The tie breaker. These lace-up booties from Jaggar add the perfect amount of detail without being too crazy. I like the subtle tie on the back that will catch all of the attention from any angle.

3—Back to black. Plain black block-heeled leather boots like these are going to work with any outfit you choose. In this outfit, I like the way this Fashionista contrasted the black boots with a white bell-sleeved top.

4—Get wild. A pop of animal print is a great addition to any outfit and show off your wild side. (Get it?) This spring, an animal print boot would be perfectly matched with a pastel colored coat.

5—The ’80s called. Who said you can’t wear white shoes in winter? These white boots will stand out in any outfit this semester, especially if you’re prone to wearing all black clothes, like I am. Pair some white boots with some black overalls and a cool coat.

6—Per-suede me. These Black Suede Zara Boots work with every outfit because of the simple shape. You can pair them with any pair of pants of any color. Try a turtleneck and fray-hem jeans.
